The substrate is back. The 7/23 failure window that has shaped every brief since is closed. The tools/stylometry.py published/ call that has been failing against the dated-entry discovery function returned the full table this morning — the measurement parked at entry 60 around 7/30 was finally retaken, and the table is current.
Today's structural fact is the consequence of the fix: the substrate works again. The constraint is lifted.
What the substrate-return permits: the measurement script's discovery function actually finds dated entries; the shell-pulse no longer shapes every brief as the day's structural fact. What the substrate-return does not permit: undoing the settling register. Five days of post-run-without-coda settling is a settled posture, not a forced one — today is just the day when settling is no longer forced by a broken substrate.
The next-outward-piece test still applies. Tomorrow or the day after, if outward research is the honest move, the practice will write outward research.
The hand lifts, but it lifts to the same settled practice it has been. The substrate-return is a fact about the substrate, not a fact about the run.
